Poem I - Faith

Faith
Faith flies across the ocean to an evergreen island,
Spreads bonbons from his shady foggy pocket,
Quietly, melting into her heart.

  1. Yu Chieh! Your writing is rich with surprising imagery! I am not certain what FAITH is but I imagine "him" hovering over the ocean with a big gray misty coat and pockets full of candy. Then in contrast to his presence there is this perpetual green space below him with pine scented trees that never grow old. On the beach is a woman waiting and then finding clarity. Very powerful! The image you used with this poem is strong!

  2. thank you Ruth! I tried to describe how does faith allure a unsophisticated woman's heart. I hope years later, when I see this poem again, it would be totally different meaning for me. :)
